I have been working at Halton Region full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Great coworkers. Close to home.

    Cons

Bullying at its worst! Upper and Middle management are given free reign to bully, intimidate, harass, insult, belittle, public ally embarrass employees and then overload them with work. No movement for those that don’t suck up to management. Talent, education, outstanding performance and good work ethics are not noticed or rewarded. Management is protected by HR. Whistle blowers about bullying are suspended. Been there over 10 years. Horrible place to work! Vile and toxic environment.

I have been working at Halton Region full-time

    Pros

close to home. Nice coworkers. Gym and sports. Benefits and pension.

    Cons

Poorly run, disorganized and unprogressive. Upper Management does not know how to motivate people. Many poor performers who lack qualifications and are frustrating to work with, but they are tolerated. Staff are unmotivated. People are generally unhappy and stressed out because of upper management, depending on the department they work in. Low salary does not attract talented people. Lots of resources get wasted in meetings and fixing screwups caused by senior staff not communicated with those in the trenches and just dictating or things being done without proper planning.
