    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Hampshire Farms full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great entrepreneurial spirit and ability for personal growth.
Mass merchant customers are very stable and want to grow your business.
Industry leader in quality and service.

    Cons

Went from an industry leader to a "just like everyone else" reputation. Lost the vision of be the quality leader first and foremost and the high gross margin sales will come. Bank has too much influence over the Company and Board.

    Advice to Management

Broaden your customer base. Too reliant on a few large customers.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Hampshire Farms part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The hours are very flexible. Most days you can go in when it's convenient for you as long as the job gets done. It's a good job for somebody who has a busy schedule that sometimes needs to work around their job such as a student like me. They also pay $30 a month toward your phone bill.

    Cons

The hours fluctuate a lot. In march the hours start to pick up and gets real busy for 6-8 weeks. Then the hours fall off and continue to do so until around November. If you manage to hold the job through the year you won't have a lot of hours until the following March when they start to pick up again. Not quick to hand out raises either.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees if you want to keep them around.

  3. "Overall, it is a decent place to work. Okay pay. Okay supervisors."

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Hampshire Farms part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Can select own hours most of the time.
Pay is above average for the work you're doing.
Everyone is pretty easy to get along with.

    Cons

Requires you to work weekends all the time.
Store employees can be difficult to work with at times.

    Advice to Management

Supervisors need more direct control over what happens at stores.
