I have been working at Hampton Inn full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great atmosphere, and great support from corporate offices. Also amazing benefits from Hilton!

    Cons

Very cookie cutter. All Hamptons are practically the same, so there are strict guidelines.

    Advice to Management

Not applicable since many Hamptons are managed by different franchise companies.

I have been working at Hampton Inn part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have been employed at the Hampton Inn for almost 2 years now. I am a front desk agent at the hotel and It has been an awesome 2 years. I am currently finishing up my Business degree in management and this job has provided so much experience and insight to what leading a hotel is like. I have had the opportunity to work along side the assistant and general manager of my property and learn so much from them. Through hard work and commitment I have been able to show the company the asset i am. The company thrives on customer service and being the friendliest hotel out there. They value their employees and work with them to ensure they are happy in order to make the guests happy. The company offers incentives to all their employees by giving discounted hotel stays in any Hilton property across the world.

    Cons

No real cons when looking at the company as a whole.

I have been working at Hampton Inn full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You meet new people everyday, Work is constantly changing -- whether it's fitting the needs of guests or fitting the needs of the hotel..it's never "boring" because there is always something going on, The discount travel program is amazing, your coworkers/team, this Hilton brand is distinctively known for it's Brand Personality...this is why if you're a people's person, Hampton is right for you!

    Cons

Some team members don't put the "team" into teamwork. Depending what shift you work, you may not find time for a lunch break (which is a pro to some people), The pay isn't the best.

I worked at Hampton Inn full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very good at training the employees to know how to handle different situations at the front desk. Also, allowed for independence when dealing with difficult and new obstacles.

    Cons

The pay was not great, however, I found myself understanding these things because I was a first time employee in the hotel industry.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing! I enjoyed my experience here.
