I worked at Hampton Inn full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great team to work with as long as they know they role. Amazing with communication when I was helping to get it through. Very good at following direction when given.

    Cons

When the GM is unsure of her role and second guesses herself with decisions she needs to make. Cannot direct anyone where they need to be and when telling them she puts them down.

    Advice to Management

Take your time to listen to your employees. Show that you are on their side not just on a one person who you think is your friend. He is not always right.

I have been working at Hampton Inn (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits and most of the people are very nice

    Cons

Most managers are very nice; however, there are a couple that act like they are in high school. Stabbing people in the back, blaming anyone else but themselves, etc

    Advice to Management

Look into your own management and ask employees what they think about them

I worked at Hampton Inn full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Opportunity in many different companies for any kind of title. Getting to know the guests and having the satisfaction that you made their stay better.

    Cons

Everyone says they have each other backs but when you need them no one is there to answer a phone call or call back.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the people below you. They know more if what's going on than you.

I worked at Hampton Inn full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Interaction with interesting and fun guests; great employee discount at Hilton family hotels. Friendly management; convenient to highway; great parking;

    Cons

Little to no room for advancement. During my employment, the hotel changed owners multiple times - all of which had different rules and benefits.

I worked at Hampton Inn part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The cleaning is fun. You can put headphones in and go about your day. Meet a lot of awesome people.

    Cons

Management is bad. They don't care about employee's. Un-fair. In my case, they were disgusting

    Advice to Management

Treat your housekeepers with more respect. The hotel wouldn't run without them. I know its all about making money, but don't sell rooms that need to be fixed.
