I have been working at Hampton Inn part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - The $35 team-member travel initiative is commendable, but when you're barely making enough money to pay for rent, food, and other necessities, even with a second job, the discount is negated and exposed as a facade.
    - Hours are flexible.
    - Short commute.

    Cons

    - Need to work two jobs to make ends meet like many of my coworkers.
    - Dealing with self-entitled, egotistical HHonors members who think it's okay to treat front-desk employees like they're subhuman.
    - Owners are stingy.
    - Management pays no attention to suggestions submitted by employees.

I worked at Hampton Inn full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

One of the biggest pros of working at the Hampton inn by Hilton was the team member travel program. It offered majorly discounted rooms at an employee rate when available.

    Cons

The only thing I disliked about working at the Hampton inn by Hilton was the management I experienced at my former job it was not very well organized.

    Advice to Management

Please professionally hire the correct person for the lower level management positions

I worked at Hampton Inn full-time

    Pros

Loved my co-workers!! Honestly they were the only reason I even kept showing up.

    Cons

The management COMPLETELY misleads and flat out lies to employees. They tell you what they think you wanna hear and when their promises never come to fruition they say sorry. Place is poorly managed and NOT managed at all on weekends. They work a 9-5, M-F position and I've actually heard the GM say "don't call me unless the place is burning down". They look down on employees. Employees are replaceable and treated as such. There is no promotion from within unless your part of their "clique" and you go out drinking together on your time off. Don't waste your time with this company unless you enjoy being lied to and treated poorly.. worse than a dead end job!!!

    Advice to Management

Management should manage. Especially in the first year. Check up on the individuals that you've hired to "manage". You'll soon find they're liars and drug addicts.

I worked at Hampton Inn part-time

    Pros

There are three shifts to choose from, so there's a decent chance that one of them fits your schedule. In my opinion, it is a relatively easy-going job. Very much a "learn it well and you don't have to think" type of place, which may be good for daydreamers!

    Cons

Night shift (11PM-7AM) has to take care of setting up breakfast for the breakfast employees (who were only allowed to work 5 hours - hence why front desk was told do to it). It was incredibly boring at times, and I was made to stand at the desk even during downtime, even after I told them I have a disability and need to sit when I'm able to.

    Advice to Management

    Be more flexible with scheduling
