I worked at Hampton Inn (Less than a year)

    Pros

Hmm... There really aren't many pros. I can say pay was decent. I liked most of the staff I worked with.

    Cons

You never know what time you're getting off. It could be a six hour shift or a twelve hour shift, you never knew. You would end up doing the work of three or four other individuals alone while doing your assigned work. The owner wasn't big on allowing lunch breaks even if you had been working 7-8 hours straight. Mold issues. Super out dated furniture. Very UNDERSTAFFED. No insurance even offered. I've heard guests complaints about management being rude and how they shouldn't talk the way that they do to their employees in front of a guest because it's rude. There's a lot wrong here, list goes on and on.

    Advice to Management

My advice to Management would be this, get your mess together! There is a reason you have such a high turnover rate and hardly no new people applying but rather the same people whom have been fired or quit. That says something. You need to get with the program and get organized. Every hotel around you is WAY more organized, less chaotic, actually have set scheduled shifts, update everything within so many years and their management isn't rude or disrespectful to guests or their staff.

  10. "Hilton brands are the best brands"

    Star Star Star Star Star

    Pros

Hampton promotes a culture of family and pride in your quality of work in all departments

    Cons

As a focused service brand Hamptons don't usually get the credit they are due. The service at any Hampton can rival that of any luxury brand.

I worked at Hampton Inn (Less than a year)

    Pros

Working late and being in control of the issues that come up in the hotel. Being able to do several things in the late night that will help move my family further.

    Cons

Lonely at night, and definitely during the slow seasons.

    Advice to Management

Get a grip and start treating people like they are people, instead of your little errand boys and girls. Attention to the owners of this establishment, your lack of concern for your employees shows, big time!
