    I have been working at Hanesbrands full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Decent retirement benefits and insurance.

    Paid vacation leave with 24 hour notice.

    Work environment is temperature controlled.

    Pay is competitive with local employers.

    Cons

    Low pay differential for experience... you make the same if you've worked 20 years or 1 year.

    Unexpected layoffs that are scheduled so the employee isn't eligible for unemployment benefits. (Shut down production on Friday or Monday every week for a month instead of shutting down for a full week)

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your veteran employees. They know what is wrong and how to fix it.

    Pros

    Low stress
    You don't have to bring work home
    All of my bosses are very easy to work with
    Good benefits
    Paid vacation and holiday for full and part time.

    Cons

    -A lot of Saturday's.
    -Not a very flexible schedule.
    -You must work in many different stores and there isn't a lot of support from them to do your job effectively.

    Pros

    Great team! Good benefits with opportunities to grow within. Great product knowledge on all bras and panties. Customer service allows you to meet diverse people

    Cons

    As any retail environment, the hours aren't the best when you have family obligations. The pay scale is a lower than most companies

    Advice to Management

    For management to not have preferential treatment towards others carrying the same title. For management to be a role model.

    Worked 20 hrs. a week. Constantly entering and updating data on excel spreadsheet.

    Cons

    Not enough pay. Only had one raise in the last six years working.

    Great morale, friendly atmosphere, open door policy with all management

    Cons

    Structure of the company changes often. If you aren't comfortable with change this isn't the company for you

    Pros

    Love working with all the people. Everything goes smoothly and I like the kind of job responsibilities as well as the customer service standards and unique services we offer.

    Cons

    Too many changes all at one time. Corporate should do reviews on Regional Managers by speaking with store managers. One bad regional can ruin things for a lot of stores and the employees.

    Advice to Management

    Slow down the directions and changes. Make sure to keep an eye on the Regional Managers because one bad one will make the turnover rate for employees worse. Ask employees for their opinions on things more often. We are the ones in the stores with the customers everyday.

    Hanes has great amenities: gym, workout classes, picnic, parking lot sales, outdoor events with music, food, and activities.

    The cons are depending on the business you work with and the boss you have.
