I worked at Hanesbrands part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The stores usually have a smaller amount of employees, so you get to know everyone pretty well. The company does offer an in-store discount on all products, even clearance. There is a $40 product allowance given once a year. You can get promoted to entry management quickly.

    Cons

Extremely high turnover, low pay, benefits not given when promised. I worked several weeks over 30 and 40 hours. I was never given benefits, although I was supposed to receive them. It was very obvious that senior management did not care about us. Our store eventually closed, but while our company was experiencing losses, they would send out pamphlets and newsletters about what nice things they were doing for people overseas. I am sure they received a tax incentive.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to manage a company.

I worked at Hanesbrands full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Looks great on a resume. Gym, doctor, dry cleaning, cafeteria on site. And did i mention it looks great on a resume?

    Cons

young professionals - stop now and work somewhere else.

    stock dropping regularly.

bases sales "plan" on random numbers, not on actual sales from previous cycles. company is always down to plan due to this radical way of planning.

for your first THREE years - you are given "10 vacation days" what this really means - 6 days to use anytime of the year, and 4 you MUST use while the whole company shuts down for the last week in December.. if the company is closed, why am i required to use vacation? that's just ridiculous.

If you prefer brand name prescriptions - not happening with this insurance.

Used to give employees free lunch and every Friday off in the summer. This has now been cancelled. No more free food and no more friday's off - so please disregard everyone's reviews that state "summer hours" and "free lunch" - they do not exist anymore.

bullying from coworkers and mgmt. when reported to HR, employee was reprimanded by mgr for putting her in a bad position.

    layoffs occurring 2016 - hence why i'm a former.

Look up how much rich noll makes vs the employees. seems a bit.. "off"... i'd say.

    Advice to Management

Please get over your old fashioned views. We are all people looking to grow and learn. Please give us that opportunity when we continue to ask. Time spent in a position does not correlate to promotions or ability to take on more duties. It's about work ethic.
