I have been working at Hanesbrands full-time

    Pros

On-site medical practice, with many services available at no cost.

    Cons

Focuses on obtaining top talent, but not retaining them. Actual skills and contributions have little bearing on who gets promoted. If you are able to successfully infiltrate the good ole' boy network, then you may qualify for limitless promotions regardless of how you actually perform. Otherwise, you are likely wasting your time and talent for less future return than you expect or deserve.

    Advice to Management

Update your HR talent policies. There is an ROI associated with correlating employee efforts with rewards. Ultimately, you get what you pay for.

I worked at Hanesbrands full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Facility is great- gym, outdoor track, cafeteria. Coworkers were great.

    Cons

Management consistently puts the wrong people in positions. They promote based on good 'ole boy network and not by merit or intelligence.

    Advice to Management

Stop playing musical chairs with your VP's and upper management and hire people outside who actually know what they are doing. Organic growth can't happen when you surround yourself with a plethora of "yes men."

I have been working at Hanesbrands full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Love working with all the people. Everything goes smoothly and I like the kind of job responsibilities as well as the customer service standards and unique services we offer.

    Cons

Too many changes all at one time. Corporate should do reviews on Regional Managers by speaking with store managers. One bad regional can ruin things for a lot of stores and the employees.

    Advice to Management

Slow down the directions and changes. Make sure to keep an eye on the Regional Managers because one bad one will make the turnover rate for employees worse. Ask employees for their opinions on things more often. We are the ones in the stores with the customers everyday.
