I have been working at Hanger full-time

    Pros

It provides a service that helps amputees and their conquest of starting a new life.

    Cons

It has no regard for structure, The HR department is there to protect Hanger not assist employees. Overworking employees with little gratitude. The moral is better at a funeral. Borderline racist and ethnically ignorant. Rude co workers.

    Advice to Management

Start with compassion and maybe your employees will wanton work harder for you.

I have been working at Hanger full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

It's a job. benefits are ok. Not great.

    Cons

Management has unreal expectations of employees. Each end of month is treated as though it's the end of the company if we don't make huge profits. NO BONUSES in years. Some other review said 4 reviews and bonuses a year. BS! Management hogs the bonus money if and when there is any. Upper management does not give a Dn about the "pee-ons" unless their productivity drops below unacceptable levels. The top admin reap what ever profits may be made when not under SEC investigation. Stocks took a huge hit when false numbers and failure to report on time occurs. NO upward mobility. High turnover. I'm told women are paid at 75% in comparison to male counterparts. Dept of Labor should do an investigation. Software is time consuming and poorly implemented.

    Advice to Management

Where do I start. It's all about profit for the CEO and his buddies.

    Pros

Decent location, meet some good people, good for new graduate

    Cons

There is lack of leadership and good business practices which is why the company is failing. Listen to the clinics listen to the new people. Stop being over bearing egotistical passive agressive culture. Old ways with new names.

    Advice to Management

Fire most managment and start over new. They have been the problem and will continue to be the problem.

    I worked at Hanger full-time

    Pros

    Products and services are wonderful

    Cons

Corporate culture and leadership style is based on fear and intimidation. Turnover is atrocious.

    Advice to Management

Stop patting each other on the back and rewarding poor leadership. Give the good, talented, and loyal people you hire room to tell you the truth without fear of reprisal. Stop blaming attrition on the people leaving. They are not the issue. They leave because of the leadership not because of the work.

    I worked at Hanger full-time

    Pros

The mission and work done in the clinics for patients and their families is truly inspiring and amazing. I have nothing but admiration for the work done by those NOT in the corporate executive office.

    Cons

With minor exception, the current leadership is being controlled by narcissistic, "I know the best route" because it costs money officers. Harsh, unrelenting with lies and mis-statements and when you choose to stand up for yourself, it threatens them. Sad, sad department as they run great employees into the ground.

    Advice to Management

STOP accusing the Old Leadership and remember - many of you were in the same discussions and made decisions TOGETHER. If there is anything left of the company when you all are done, let someone who really cares about culture, employees, and future good take the helm.

    Cons

Closed door policy management style, belittle employees, extremely poor to no training available ---this applies to the Phoenix Revenue Cycle Facility only, not the Corporate location in Austin, TX.

    Advice to Management

Corporate management, please take a serious look at management in the RCM location in Phoenix.

    Pros

Hanger respected salaries and earned vacation time of employees after the acquisition

    Cons

Impersonal, lack of visibility, lack of respect for previous company culture, hostile environment between old hanger employees and acquired company ones. There was no sense of community among local offices.

    Pros

    Awful company. No Pros.

Company pays glassdoor to delete most negative reviews. So they got that going for them.

    Cons

Company doesn't care about it's employees. Treats safety and health of employees as a joke. Primarily goal is to protect good-old-boy network, and provide golden parachutes for high executives. As a lower ranked employee with no relatives above you, you will be milked so managers can give massive paychecks while you can barely live.

    Advice to Management

Clean House. Especially Human Resources and Executives.
