    Pros

Culture fosters the freedom to get the job done without micro management

    Cons

I work in a fabrication lab and the air quality can be challenging at times with plaster dust and adhesives. I wear a mask when working around the lab.

    Keep up the great work!

I have been working at Hanger full-time

    Pros

Fantastic mission. It's the right size company in that it's large enough to invest in infrastructure, systems, research & development, and business support. There's complexity that allows exposure to a wide variety of business scenarios. At the same time, it's not so big that you feel like a cog in the machine. You can have contribute and have real impact.

    Cons

Some groups are still understaffed. They are getting there but we could get there faster if we had more hands on deck.

    Advice to Management

We have great people here who are deeply committed. Many want to do more and and could go deeper but they lack bandwidth. Continue to invest in your people. They are the heartbeat of this company.

I have been working at Hanger full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Hanger is a sizable company (5,000 ee's) but you feel like a large family.

The work Hanger does for its patients is truly amazing, my outlook was truly impacted when I had the opportunity to meet patients and hear their stories.

Great opportunity to work in a corporate headquarters in Austin, especially at the Domain.

    Cons

It is challenging to complete a restatement of the financials but we are nearly there.

There are natural growing pains that comes with the growth we've experienced, however I look at that as opportunity.

I'd consider us fairly lean which can be challenging at times, but you have plenty of opportunities to make a difference if you want them.

I have been working at Hanger full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great environment, fast paced, people are very friendly. They offer great benefits, health, vision, dental and also offer annual bonuses of your reviews (4) go well throughout the year.

    Cons

A lot of systemic issues that aren't investigated properly. Software is used before a testing environment can be used to diagnose possible show stoppers. They tend to expect unattainable results before using any of the Software. I have experienced this over 5 times in 3 different positions within the company. They do not communicate well at the corporate office.

    Advice to Management

Please work on communications within all departments. The right hand needs to know what the left hand is doing. Please also arrange a meet and greet between you, your staff and their HR Specialist. There always comes a time when an employee will need their assistance.
Also there is a lot of turnover in HR which makes things even more difficult.
