The managers are considered to be your best friends here. We talk about college, performance, as well as sports teams. To be honest, however, one should consider moving about finding other jobs. Nevertheless, Hannaford is a great team for your first job, but after time there are no new or thrilling avenues. However, being in a company where you are understood gives you a sense. Nothing is better than having a sense of belonging at work.

Yes, Hannaford is a great retailer for the majority of time. However, when thinking about many obstacles at work, there is much to be said. Hannaford does their best to include you, as you are filling the ranks for a next employee of the month. Though, the work does get mundane. In each interaction, there is less concern about the task, and more thought of what happens outside. To work here, there is no comparison. Though, instead of working on a mundane task like helping a fellow coworker with a U-boat, they could show other departments. I have tried this in the past, but they constantly say that I move too slow, downgrading.

Not enough staff and micro managing even when your doing the work load of two to three people.

You have to work weekends. This sometimes is difficult, because there's lots of call outs on weekends and it's there busy time.

Some management can be hard to work with, depends on how personalities get along. Hard to move from store to store unless you’re told to move

Flexibility, choose hours, except need to be available one weekend day. Can work as few as 10 hours a week and still receive benefits like tuition reimbursement, and Hannaford rewards 10% for employees

lower starting pay than some companies but employees get paid time and a half on Sundays,
