friendly team, uncapped commisions, so you get out what you put in, some people find this hard to work at but if you are tuly motivated then it really is a great work ethic, also we are not individuals and the whole team reap the reward so we all work harder, the management style is direct which somepeople dont like, but you always know where you stand.
Hannells are one of the most innovative estate agents in derbyshire, they are always looking at ways to improve what they do , and always looking at ways to improve upon the way estate agents work, 9 times out of ten there marketing and sales processes are copied or used by other agents which shows how proactive and forward thinking the comapny and management is.
the hours are sometimes long which include Saturdays, sometimes there is a lack of recognition, but it will come, and sometimes we dont see enough of Manangement.
Advice to Management
would like to see a lot more of you , and as always would like a little pay rise
Most of the staff are nice and really try hard to do a good job and make sure customer service is good and try to maintain a professional but enjoyable environment to work in.
The management who oversee the branches are generally clueless to how to run the company, they are reactive and not proactive in thinking of ways to progress the business and motivate staff, the staff are not really paid a very good basic wage and have to rely the commission and this in general is fine as it encourages the staff to work hard and be rewarded for it. But sometimes staff have there commission taken away even if they reach there targets as the rules seemed to be changed to suit management. If targets are missed by even £50 per branch then no commission is paid at all and staff have to try a get by on there basic wage.
Also the management speak to staff in a disrespectful and unprofessional manner (in worse cases it could be called bullying) which does not get the best out of the staff and only seems dampen staff moral.
Overall not a pleasant place to work
Advice to Management
Treat the staff with respect and consult them for ideas to improve the business and introduce a scheme for commission that is on a percentage scale to if full target is not reached at least some commission is paid.
