    Pros

Hanover is a great place to work for someone who lives to teach, do research, and remain a lifelong learner. It is also a great place to make connections with other faculty and students.

    Cons

The President, now retired, is an embarrassment. She cannot make decisions that have to do with money, yet gives herself raises when hard working faculty and staff get nothing. She doesn't know who her faculty are and hasn't made any effort to get to know newer ones. I also wish our teaching technologies were more up to par, but we are getting there. Finally, the location is beautiful but remote. This is something we all live with, and unless the town itself can gentrify nothing will chance.

    Advice to Management

Learn to award the strengths of those who deserve it rather than awarding mediocrity.

I worked at Hanover College (More than a year)

    Pros

Working at Hanover College was fine. It was a good student job that got me a steady source of income that helped me live comfortably on campus and pay for my art supplies.

    Cons

I didn't really think my boss was all that invested in helping me balance work and coursework, and the pay wasn't all that much honestly.

    Pros

Small, tight-knit community; beautiful campus; kind, intelligent students, professors, and staff; and a calm, laid-back atmosphere.

    Cons

Isolated location (although this will be much better soon with a new bridge to Kentucky that will be finished soon); a small community that can sometimes be "too small."

    Advice to Management

I personally didn't see any problems during the time I was there; however, I was employed only as a student part-time worker.

    Pros

The atmosphere is wonderful. Everyone of your coworkers in each department truly try to work together fluidly.

    Cons

Possible cons may be that the location is in a small town, so if you aren't use to living in a small town you may find that challenging.
