    Pros

This company manufacturers a unique product that has specific applications in Automotive interiors. Lots of good application development opportunity.

    Cons

Hanwha Korean management has trouble with dealing in a direct way with the American management team. They have unrealistic expectations and there is an illusion of honesty and transparnency that does not exist.

I have been working at Hanwha full-time

    Pros

Good payment, more or less that of other large Korean conglomerates. Compared to them, the management is somewhat more humane toward their employees. Not that it's saying much.

    Cons

There is little room for creativity. Culture is toxic. Yes, they're trying to change it, but even the way they're doing it is the top-down "I said so" way.

I worked at Hanwha full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Although not the biggest and most prestigious financial institution in Korea, the company still went a long way and developed into a higher tier firm during the last couple of years, especially after HQ acquired Prudential Asset Management and merged it into Hanwha Trust Management. A good starting point if you plan to establish yourself in the financial career and move on to more prestigious institutions later. Location...

    Cons

The same thing that transformed the company into a bigger player (i.e. merger of/with Prudential Asset Management), transformed the company from a more informal one with a "family-like" atmosphere, into a more rigid, formal, less fun environment. Very homogeneous (all Korean) despite former attempts to make the firm into a more "global" environment with more foreign staff.
