I worked at Happy & Healthy Products full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The travel is fun because you will visit places you might never voluntarily visit, but are great. And some franchisees are great people.

    Cons

You will never come out ahead working here. First of all, they're broke as a joke! The factory has had an incredible amount of money poured into it just to keep it open. So therefore, they will do whatever they can NOT to pay their employees. Especially when it comes to commissions. They'll keep giving you obligations that "have to be completed" before they pay you and that list gets longer when they can't cover it (or just don't want to). I'm owed over $1,000 in commissions and will never see a dime because they are run by classless, slimy people. They don't truly care about their employees, especially when it comes to choosing money over safety. The GM stirs the pot when it comes to drama and wants power in the office, but since she doesn't have the credentials or personality to gain respect, it's an extremely hostile environment. Your travel- they give you a very small per diem for only food. You don't get a rental car, you have to have someone take you to the airport (so they love it when girls have boyfriends to take care of that). A real company will pay for all of your expenses. If you're desperate for a job, do yourself a favor and wait another few weeks for a decent, actual job you won't want to cry about all the time. The president started the company with her friends and if they don't like you (I.e. If you aren't completely kissing ass) they'll edge you out like it's a high school clique. I should have listened to my parents when they said it sounded like a sub-par company. Definitely a joke. I could go on and on about everything that's wrong here.

I worked at Happy & Healthy Products full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Extensive travel. Getting to meet various people from diverse backgrounds while traveling.

    Cons

Vulgar, unprofessional, abusive, toxic environment. If you are in your 20's, good looking woman, and can't believe how nice they are being to you after the first interview, please run the other way. This company only hires young women straight out of college so that they can take advantage of them.

    Pros

The job itself was great. I felt very rewarded working with the franchisees and helping people fulfill their dream of business ownership.

    Cons

How long do you have? The list can go on and on... 1. The sales staff has a really high turn over because the company does not give adequate support. They are in the dark ages when it comes to technology and don't have a CRM to manage clients. They do not provide the BASIC tools like internet access, data plan, on the company phone, tablet, or lab top while you are out in the field. I had to use my own data plan and many times went over and had to pay for it as a out of pocket expense. You have to go to a Starbucks or Panera Bread to leach off their internet while you are doing outside sale. Not productive or professional. 2. The GM is a joke! A sales position here might be a fit for someone right out of college to gain experience but anyone with experience will find this company to be a complete joke. Micro-manager doesn't even begin to describe the management. 3. Employees are often grossly underpaid compared to their local market and highly overburdened. You are doing a job where most company has different DEPARTMENTS for. I recently interviewed with a large franchise company and the CEO couldn't believe I did the job of 3 of his independent departments! Bottom line is: AVOID this company and their empty promises.
