I have been working at Harbor Health Services full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Mission, values, member, product and co-workers.

    Cons

Salary is way off market. Senior leadership and HR are not credible. Decisions made with little thought of downstream impact.

    Advice to Management

Think before you act. If you really are concerned about moral, then really examine your actions before making rash decisions.

I worked at Harbor Health Services full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

Nice and friendly staff that are willing to help customers and patients.

    Cons

Managers with little or no college degree. You have to know someone or liked by upper management you to move up. Unfair wages and working hours. Human Resource never on your side.

    Advice to Management

Hire someone with the appropriate degree and potential. It doesn’t make any sense to post a job that requires at least a bachelor degree and hired a high school graduate. Listen to what your staff have to say without the fear of losing their job. There will be no retention until there is a fair adjustment of wages.

I worked at Harbor Health Services full-time

    Pros

There no longer any due to new management

    Cons

The senior management is on a power trip and has staff very stressed. Senior management protect who they like personally and will lie on their own actions because they feel they are untouchable.

    Advice to Management

Everyone has someone to answer to and one day you will be held accountable for your personal malice to staff. You don't put people out of their jobs just because you don't like them. You and your team need to be investigated so all the lies and illegal activities are exposed. One day it will all come out.

I worked at Harbor Health Services

    Pros

There was a lot of camaraderie and mutual support among co-workers in my department. Definitely not the same all around though. My direct boss was amazing, supportive and understanding. I loved working with the patient population they serve. The Medical Director, Dr. Fantes, is also amazing and the most caring person in that organization.

    Cons

The new Senior Management ruined that place. The new CEO is an out-of-touch frat boy with a big ego who hired a bunch of people without any community health center experience who don’t know (and don’t care to learn) anything about the community they serve and put them in senior positions. Nothing positive to say about anyone in their C-Suite. It is very sad what is happening with this organization. Lot of hostility in...

    Advice to Management

Try to get a better understanding of the employees and patient needs before making big changes. Try to get to know people who work for you. Show them that you care.

I have been working at Harbor Health Services full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

Helping the people in the community! Free food at staff meetings! Other than that no other pros. Just need to write 20 words.

    Cons

You’re underpaid for all the stuff they pile on for you to do. Management is horrible. They only look after themselves. Very hostile work environment and nothing seems to ever get done. And if it does, it’s done incorrectly creating more of a hostile environment. Cheap labor so expect fresh new out of schoolers for your care. I’ve been working there for years as a RN and the only why I’m still there is cause of the health...
