    Pros

Nurses are rockstars at this facility, lots of fun personality. Teamwork is essential and this team is the foundation for HMC. If you have a chance to sit, you will be the odd one out because nurses truly work hard with high-acuity, low-acuity but demanding patients.
Management was super supportive of needing time off etc. Fun environment.

    Cons

Busy is an understatement. This is a level one trauma center for the WAMI region - be prepared. They do not have an IV team and lots of sick drug dependent. "private" hospitals divert patients for psych services. Sometimes the psych ward is fall and SI patients will be yours to manage - along with many more. Patients are known to be unpredictable and can be abusive. Managing resident doctors at this teaching hospital can be +/- if you're new. Think "the blind leading the blind."

    Advice to Management

You're great! Thanks for supporting nurses. The pay at this institution is much lower than they deserve; Seattle is really expensive to live in and having to pay parking is an absolute pain - let alone driving to!

    Specific meal everyday.
