I worked at Harden HealthCare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people here were like a family before Gentiva bought them out, nothing against the few technical workers who got to stay after the changes, my point is that it was better before.

    Cons

For all of the talk of being in it for the patients and big enough to weather ACA changes it seems like the former owners turned tail and ran pretty fast.

    Advice to Management

Try sizing up the talent pool at a new organization before you decide who to put out on the street and who to keep.

    Pros

This company understands the impact employee satisfaction has on the bottom line and productivity.

    Cons

Carried a lot of corporate culture stigma from a previous ownership and negative attitudes regarding change.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the focus on helping employees be happy and support them in their work-life balance efforts.

I worked at Harden HealthCare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good Pay; Excellent benefits package. Harden took good care of their employees. I had some health issues when I worked there and had to utilize FMLA before finally resigning. They were very compassionate and I felt truly cared about.

    Cons

I worked in the IT Support Department. It was very unorganized. They were trying to re-structure, but they had a poor platform for the IT department to support their users.

    Advice to Management

More team work, allow employees to cross-train. Some of the long term employees did not want others knowing their job, so when they were gone, nobody knew how to support their users.
