I have been working at Hardin Memorial Hospital part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent managers. They attempt to work around school schedules but usually you end up working days you need off anyway. Point system is idiotic. I got sent home for having a bad day (diabetic) with my sugars and got 3 points. You get a max of 6 before you get in trouble.

    Cons

    Understaffed
    Underpaid !!!!!!
Most nurses are arrogant and refuse to help out LPNs or Aides

    Advice to Management

    Pay your aides better!!

I worked at Hardin Memorial Hospital (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Local, decent benefits, nursing staff try their best.

    Cons

If you are a member of the National Guard or Reserve they will eliminate your job position while you are on active duty orders.

    Advice to Management

Stop lying. You talk about placing value on your employees, patients and visitors. In fact, you place no value on these things. You only care about money. Incompetent leadership has driven the hospital to bankrupcy. The hospital is filthy and moral is terrible.

I have been working at Hardin Memorial Hospital full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Half of the hospital employees are very friendly. Better than minimum wage. The insurance isn't too bad.

    Cons

The environment is very "clicky". People gossip and are in everyone's business. Barely any room for advancement in certain departments.

    Advice to Management

Be more open to new people. Don't facilitate the "clickyness". Treat your employees better and you might not have such a high turnover rate.
