    I worked at Hardin-Simmons University part-time

    Pros

    It was a good benefit to not have to worry about paying for living in the resident hall and part of the meal plan. You also were paid for 10 hours a week minimum wage which was something.

    Cons

    You were only allowed to work as a RA and were unable to work anywhere else, so your only form of income was minimum wage at 10 hours a week.

    Advice to Management

    Management was fine.

    Love this place. It loves its students and employees.

    Cons

    Lower salaries and benefits can be less than competitive.

    Advice to Management

    Look to increase salaries, do away with tenure and better help students find jobs to balance out student debt.

    The people here really care about you and want you to succeed. Definitely a family atmosphere and an encouraging experience.

    Cons

    Not a lot of career mobility or connections, although they are working on connecting more to the Dallas area.

    Advice to Management

    Keep working to improve your relations with people outside of Abilene, encourage growth and keep loving people!
