I worked at Harmon, Inc. as an intern

    Pros

    Great opportunities for learning
    Good work-life balance
Great people who seem to be genuinely happy in their jobs
Independent projects and opportunities to take charge

    Cons

At my location there weren't many other interns, so that was a bit isolating.

It is a job that has many promises, but not many fulfilled, low pay, and to much micromangement

    Advice to Management

Let the employees do their jobs with out always looking over their shoulders. Sometimes it is about more than numbers.

I have been working at Harmon, Inc. (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Focuses on the client and the process of delivering high quality enclosure products and installation of such. Unlimited amount of internal and external resources; largest glazing contractor in US. Positive employee benefits as a whole.

    Cons

Employee retention is low and turnover is high due to simple reasons of compensation is far outweighed by work load and expectation. The company expects high output and extraordinary results without providing fuel for the powertrain that drives the corporate machine; it's employees. It also tends to place individuals is position of incompetence and then does nothing to resolve the problem.

    Advice to Management

Practice what you preach - it's been said time and time again that the company is a people driven company that doesn't rely on actual equipment to drive revenues and margins. Focus more on what actually makes the company successful and less on peripheral ideologies and theories.
