    I worked at Harmonic as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Onsite Cafeteria for Lunches and inexpensive. A little chaotic, however a lot of helpful colleagues and nice building

    Cons

    A little chaotic, my manager was remote and didn't interface with me too much. Came in to the office 3 times while I was there once was to tell me my contract was ended

    Advice to Management

    Never saw any management so can't comment.

    Good group of people that works together to get the job done despite limited resources. Good work life balance if you set the expectation to your manager.

    Cons

    Lemmings marching together off the cliff. The place is a sweat shop. You are considered expendable as the valley is full of people who can do your job.

    Get over quarter to quarter results; and manage for long term success.

    Pros

    Wonderful people to work with, very collaborative and really passionate about what we do. Infectious passion about video quality, latest technology and future trends.

    Cons

    Some folks are very opinionated which in extreme cases and hinder execution and is not good for the company. Engineering rules. Some "we have always done it that way" attitudes are very annoying.

    Advice to Management

    Value all functions across all departments and introduce healthy change management.
