Honestly just depends on what store you’re working for. I love that I get paid weekly. Everybody is treated with respect for the most part as well.

    Cons

The location of the stores in proximity to my address is a bit far and I don’t get compensated for drive time.

I worked at Harris Teeter part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Onboarding was a nice and streamlined process.
    - Hours were flexible and they were willing to work with you on it.
    - Customers were great to work with and many were appreciative of the you and the service you provided

    Cons

(This may not be the case for all locations)
I worked at a particularly busy location, in a community of relatively wealthy people so orders were pretty sizable.

The biggest with this was that management held some pretty unrealistic expectations, comparing us to another store in the district while not looking to fix some of the core issues.

I was a part time employee that worked nearly 35 hours a week and after roughly 6 months of working there I had become one of the employees that had been working in the department the longest (that's quite ridiculous).

    Advice to Management

If you manage a district or location that has high volume in this service, please correctly train your employees (I was not properly trained and I had to learn a lot on the go, which is fine but it does not setup for the future of the department).

Also set some realistic expectations. Know the limits of your current employees and accommodate for that, either by more extensive training OR by decreasing the number of order slots available within the day.
