I have been working at Harte Hanks full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great corkers
    Direct Management has always cared
    Flexibility with schedules

    Cons

    Where do I start...
    Parking
    Breakrooms are poor
Old computer system and uninviting workspaces
New upper management person is awful. Some of the things are that come from their mouth would make anyone leave as they are very rude.
No pay raises ever. (Unless you move into a new position that pays higher)
You could lose your pay rate if you decide you want to work for a different account.
    HR is a joke
No company culture. Don't ever expect a Christmas party or offsite company event. EVER

    Advice to Management

Sups and OM- keep fighting the good fight. Can't thank you enough for your hard work
Site management and up should really be re evaluated, they've made an okay place... dreadful.

I worked at Harte Hanks full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Highest paying job I had at that point and provided me with lots of technical training. I also met lots of interesting co-workers.

    Cons

Constant calls, often unnecessarily stressful due to how things were ran on the backend. Also, just like any other call center, they micromanage how you handle calls.

    Advice to Management

There's nothing to say to this company that will be taken seriously. The hierarchy is so convoluted and the company probably makes so much money that they don't care about the problems that cause them to have a high turnover rate.

    Pros

Great Team Members. Co-employees are great.

    Cons

Sometimes petty decisions by management. Not sure if they want to be innovative start-up environment or corporate slug.

    Advice to Management

    Improve direct managers communication skills.

    Pros

People are easy to get along with.

    Cons

Training provided less than helpful. You learn more on the fly while also being graded and coached on skills that weren't properly taught to begin with.

I worked at Harte Hanks full-time

    Pros

    They have direct deposit.

    They pay on time.

    Cons

    Everything else.

This is an awful work environment with a lot of unnecessary stressors - mainly due to upper management decisions. Leadership is lacking and decisions made are not thought through and objectives seem to change daily.

There is no formal structure which makes getting correct information a task in itself.

    Advice to Management

Become a unified front. Objectives change on a dime without much forethought - it would seem.

Leadership needs to be re-implemented. There is a serious lack of structure and little respect for upper management decisions.

Choose a vision and share it. Take it step by step to realize it.

I worked at Harte Hanks full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Those looking for a job can find one easy here. Just need to show up on time every day and you are good to go.

    Cons

Treated like a kid. Need to have doctors notes in order to use sick time. No promotional opportunity. Over 70% of higher than entry level employees are hired rather than promoted from within

    Advice to Management

Give your hard working employees a reason to stay

I worked at Harte Hanks full-time

    Pros

    Good for gaining experience
    Predictable schedule
    Air conditioning

    Cons

No pay raises for anyone. For years. Even if you're consistently the most awesome rockstar in your department.

They hire anyone with a pulse, will pay them to show up & do nothing. This affects everyone who actually puts forth actual effort.

Management is struggling to maintain the integrity of the workplace. And failing miserably.

Equipment & other vital systems are poorly maintained & constantly failing but nobody is able to fix them.

    Advice to Management

All of the best people leave because you place zero value on their knowledge & dedication.

All of the worst people stay because they know they can get away with anything.

So keep up the excellent work of embarrassing yourselves & running the business into the ground.
