    Pros

    The benefits are great.
    Got along great with coworkers.
    Convenient location.
    Hour long lunch breaks.
    On-site parking.
    Paid holidays

    Cons

Very poorly managed. The management is constantly changing things and when it doesn't work out for them they turn around and blame the employees.

    Advice to Management

Changes are not a bad thing but you can't just throw it out there and see what happens. You need to plan things out better and communicate the changes in advance with your employees so they can prepare and train. Everything is so disorganized and makes your employees feel overwhelmed and then they get the blame when things start to fail.

I have been working at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    None. There are no pros.

    Cons

Terrible benefits, lying administration, zero real support for doctors

    Advice to Management

Get rid of your uneducated administration who lives to screw over the MDs by ignoring their feedback, favoring red tape, engaging in petty restrictions, and then blaming the doctors when they leave. They pay bottom of the barrel and only survive because they feed off newly-minted MD insecurity about landing employment. The doctors who stay are those who can't get jobs elsewhere and who have no aspirations. Now they have even killed their 401k match. They used to match every pay period. Now they hold the match until the end of the year and will refuse to pay it out if you leave during the year. They are bleeding money, there is a hiring freeze, and generally are a terrible place to work for all but the most incompetent.

    Pros

Fair salary and benefits for certain licensure types.
Lip-service paid to importance of staff retention

    Cons

Low employee morale due to new care model introduced recently.
    Productivity-based pay scales.
Employees exhibit negative view toward management/don't appear to take them seriously
Support staff are allowed to sit in on meetings where clinical information about clients is discussed
Support staff gossip with clients and give them life advice, which can bias/impact treatment relationships with clinicians negatively

    Advice to Management

Give clinicians more agency to do what they love to do well, and everyone will be happy (including clients).

I have been working at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    great coworkers. good health insurance.

    Cons

Senior leadership not respected. New programs initiated to put the "Joy" back in medicine do anything but.. Clinicians under more stress and patient care suffers. Change in retirement plan.
More then half the employees I know are looking to leave this company.

    Advice to Management

Over the years the company has invested millions into new programs that have failed. They should try investing in staff education and listening and supporting clinicians.
