I have been working at Harvey Industries full-time

    Pros

Great benefits including medical, dental, and vision. Nice co workers. Annual raises. Steady 40 hours a week. The work is easy to learn. opportunity to be promoted to better jobs if qualified.

    Cons

It's physical work. Like any workplace there can be a few bad actors that take advantage co workers by letting us pick up the slack. no flexibility in job schedule.

    Advice to Management

Don't always fall for the lip service, observe the slackers aND hold them accountable. it is demotivating when employees are able to slack off all the time with no consequences.

I have been working at Harvey Industries full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

very good insurance, decent vacation time, profit sharing that hardly any company have nowadays are definitely great plus.

    Cons

if you are on a production floor no one is interested in developing your potential, or ever give you opportunity to try a new role. no one will listen to your ideas and process improvements, so don't even waste your time. rules are sometimes absurd: we have 10 min coffee breaks after 2 hours of work, there are coffeemakers and coffee provided, but by the time you make it 10 min are over and you have to go back to work, so you don't have time to drink it. managers will not make coffee for workers and will not allow one person go 5 min earlier , not to lose 5 min of time they could be working

    Advice to Management

production employees are the ones who knows the process the best and their ideas can save company big bucks. Just give them a chance to speak, listen to what they have to say.

    Pros

excellent benefits, 401K and profit sharing, good balance of work life, good sales support from corporate and operations, company car

weak compensation package for sales and unattainable sales quotas, need more of a commission structure than bonus incentives, very political in upper management and difficult to move up in the company, need more support from management and manufacturing in expediting product

    Advice to Management

new sales compensation package and more support from management

    Pros

Professional environment, willings to excell and lead in their field, care for employees, fair compensation and opportunities for advancement.

Mid-sized company, ithout the full breadth of resources of multinational corporations, does not offer oportunities outside of the Eastern Seabord.

    Advice to Management

Increase trainning initiatives, as the product line is becoming very diversified, expand retirement benfit package, increase marketing expending in new regions.
