I worked at Havas Group full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Lovely location in TriBeCa. Lots of capable people. Fun atmosphere. Lots of boozy times with in-house happy hours and random parties.

    Cons

Lots of dysfunction. Depending on which group you’ll be working with, expect lots of disconnects- how to get clients paid, how to get paid from clients, lack of processes across the board. Really high turnover. People really not caring to see projects through - a lot of throwing under the bus and finger pointing. With all the talent, surprising that so little innovation is created here. Ton of inexperienced kids with...

    Advice to Management

Scorch earth time, folks. Too much reinvention is not doing you guys any good. You need solid leadership that knows how to crank out the hits. Too many silos, too many meetings and nothing getting done.

I worked at Havas Group full-time for more than 4 years

      Pros

Endless coffee, free samples from clients

      Cons

Havas PR thinks they can avoid the inevitable negative reviews by not signing up for Glassdoor, but I'm seeing a whole bunch here. Ha! The Havas PR CEO is completely delusional. You may have had "it" decades ago, but it's best you just retire, put your feet up and enjoy the high salary you didn't deserve to make. Especially at Havas PR. Constant turnover of employees. Constant loss of clients. Not knowing how to pitch...

I worked at Havas Group full-time

        Pros

Some great people work there. Decent pay

        Cons

This is for Havas PR specifically. One of the worst run companies I could ever imagine working for. Run for the hills. Incredibly inappropriate. People have quit on a whim because it is such a toxic work environment. Management does not know what they are doing. Promises are made and not kept. Would not be surprised if the company folded within the year because everyone left and because all of their clients are leaving.

I have been working at Havas Group full-time for more than 2 years

        Pros

Great office, great location, smart people, great creative analytics capabilities. I have worked here for some time now and have really enjoyed my time.

        Cons

Changes in senior management combined with the loss of a couple key accounts has put the company in a hard place. But, as the industry goes, there are lulls and bumps.

        Advice to Management

In order to stay relevant and a company that people flock to, you need to be offer competitive compensation to those employees that are key factors in the success of the agency, those that have been loyal to the company shouldn't have to take less money just because the agency isn't getting new business.

I have been working at Havas Group full-time for more than 2 years

        Pros

Very creative and talented people, Studio has an effective structure and sets projects up to succeed. Budgets are healthy enough to create and use equipment you want to shoot the best possible product.

        Cons

No retainer clients (could be a good thing if you like change). Too much Pharma work.

        Advice to Management

Empower the work culture to create more and work together on projects. Some times people can be too silo-ed and the work tends to suffer that way. The best way for agencies to succeed is for people to not be selfish with their ideas and collaborate with others.

I worked at Havas Group full-time for more than 2 years

        Pros

Good office location, good work space.

        Cons

An incredibly inappropriate office culture, where bullying, belittling and gossip are not only common, but encouraged and rewarded. Junior staff are pitted against one another by higher ups, competing for promises and rewards that senior management never follow up on. The environment encourages cliques and senior staff facilitate this and thrive on control and power. Common practice to be shamed not only via email, but...
