I worked at Havas Health and You full-time

    Pros

Some great people work there. Decent pay

    Cons

This is for Havas PR specifically. One of the worst run companies I could ever imagine working for. Run for the hills. Incredibly inappropriate. People have quit on a whim because it is such a toxic work environment. Management does not know what they are doing. Promises are made and not kept. Would not be surprised if the company folded within the year because everyone left and because all of their clients are leaving.

I have been working at Havas Health and You full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

HH&YOU is the best health and wellness network to work for hands down. Beyond the great folks that work here, management's care and concern for their employees as well as their dedication and commitment to creativity and business acumen makes it a great place to show up to everyday. There's also a great work / life balance (when you're not in launch mode ;)

    Cons

    Nothing negative to report.

    Advice to Management

Keep pushing the boundaries of what's possible in Health & Wellness.

    Pros

The company is flexible, culture is what you make it.

    Cons

With the changes this year, workload became extremely heavy without any compensation, upper management doesn't seem to really care,

    Advice to Management

Please look at the employees and realize things need to be changed again for the better

    Pros

Wonderful environment, great people and great clients.

    Cons

Sometimes it's difficult retaining people when they ask for raises and need to look elsewhere for new positions. Great people unfortunately leave because the agency may not want to pay them to stay. Sadly this is true at many agencies.

    Advice to Management

Pay the people who do great work what they are worth instead of losing them to other agencies because you did not want to give them raises of 5-10k.

I worked at Havas Health and You full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good office location, good work space.

    Cons

An incredibly inappropriate office culture, where bullying, belittling and gossip are not only common, but encouraged and rewarded. Junior staff are pitted against one another by higher ups, competing for promises and rewards that senior management never follow up on. The environment encourages cliques and senior staff facilitate this and thrive on control and power. Common practice to be shamed not only via email, but in person in front of the entire office when a mistake is made. Witnessed senior-level executives and entry-level staff engaging in conversations about personal matters that should not be brought in to the workplace, nor shared between employers and employees. Astronomical turnover rate, which leaves employees swamped and saddled with unmanageable work loads. Disorganization in finance has employees going for months without being compensated for large sums of money they had to put on their personal credit cards for work expenses. Overall unhealthy environment to work in and has many walking away with incredibly low self-esteem.

    Advice to Management

A complete restructuring and a closer look at company culture is necessary

I have been working at Havas Health and You full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fantastic CEO and overall very female-positive company, really believes in out-of-the box ideas and harnessing people's creative potential to achieve big goals. Great place to be for exposure to clients. Great location in Manhattan, updated facilities (Apply TVs and glass offices), management has an open door policy. Very nice holiday party and each month the floors celebrate employee birthdays. In the summertime they have half days called Summer Fridays which many professional services firms don't have.

    Cons

No formal mentorship or leadership development program for staff who might be just under a manager level or on the manager track. While it's meant to be very entrepreneurial in nature, everybody needs some informal/formal mentoring and coaching from members outside of their immediate team.

    Advice to Management

Would be great if each employee was paired with a mentor who was responsible for their professional development and to advocate for the employee. Would be good if there were more leadership development training sessions and workshops to build junior staff into managers the way other firms have.
