Abusive and Controlling Environment for a New Dentist
May 8, 2023 - Dentist in Honolulu, HIRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Heavy marketing for patients which keeps the schedule busy.
Cons
-Need to provide 3 months notice if you want to take a day off. They will still deny it, even if they approve it initially. -Offices are run by people who have high school degrees. They will boss you around and tell you how to do your dentistry. Not a good feeling for someone who has spent 8 years of college to be a dentist. -They will hire staff with no experience to assist you. Not a good situation for a new dentist. -Force you to work evenings, nights and do prophies

Stay Away from this Company
Apr 18, 2022 - Anonymous Employee in Honolulu, HIRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Easy job to get if you have no experience
Cons
There is a toxic environment of trying to control dentists, dental hygienists and dental assistants. There are a lot of cliques, high school behavior, passive aggressiveness and unprofessionalism. Most of the doctors and employees are straight out of school or have no experience. You are better off working at Gentle Dental, another group practice or private practice. The pay is very low.
