I have been working at Haynes Furniture full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Your off at 3:30 pm Mon - Fri

    Cons

The environment gives you a taste of how slavery on a plantation may have felt and no one is happy about working there unless you are up in the administrative rankings. HAYNES is a horrible place to be employed and Management does not treat employee's with any respect. This is a high turnover Company.

    Advice to Management

Less micromanagement, a 30 min. lunch break is not enough when you work 6am till 3:30 pm. you need at least 2 - 10 min. breaks in addition to also this company this company needs to respect employees and treat them like humans and not like robots on a remote control

I worked at Haynes Furniture full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Don't have to be on your feet all the time, free water and sometimes food.

    Cons

The owner only cares for money and pressures management and management encourange cheating, stealing sales and customers. A lot of drama and backstabbing. Since it is a commission job and they don't pay you hourly, they make you work up to 50 hours weekly. They take the cost of customer's gifts and discounts out of sales paychecks. Have to deal with angry customers bceause of the false advertising. Sales people have to tag the whole store every week, Haynes using a free labor.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees. Working them to death doesn't make them more efficiant. Be more understanding, if employee has kids or other dependents and have to be absent to take care of them. Stop ignoring your top sales favorites stealing customers.

  7. "Not worth the BS"

    Pros

    Only 40 hours a week.
    Two days off a week.
They will buy food for you if it is super busy.

    Cons

The managers have there favorites. All of the employees except for the top 3 or so who has been working for Haynes for 10 plus year complain constantly about how much they hate working at Haynes and as soon as they find something else they are out. People talk to negatively about working for this company they will not let people talk in groups even if it super slow.

    Advice to Management

Make it fair to your staff. Stop giving your favorite employees leads and handing out there cards to customers that are already with another salesperson.

I worked at Haynes Furniture (Less than a year)

    Pros

They did offer good training on their products. It's possible to make over $4000 in one week in commission. They fed us lunch quite often.

    Cons

Often times the furniture a customer ordered would never come in. After months of waiting many of them would cancel their order, so the sales reps would not get paid.

    Advice to Management

Many of my associates would complain about the unfair advantage the sales guys in bedding had. The furniture sales people wanted opportunities to work bedding all day on rotation.

I worked at Haynes Furniture full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Various shifts and extra incentives, C4529

    Cons

Constant back biting, rampant reverse discrimination , (arrogant , conceited, and anti family management attitudes toward the employees). Intimidation from management. , overpaid vice presidents. Too many long term representatives who stick their nose in everybody's business. Being forced to work on your day of worship. Managers who don't understand family a family crisis/emergency.

    Advice to Management

Please start treating employees like human beings instead of numbers in a system. Please stop religious discrimination. It is against the law. One time a manager made unkind remarks about an employees religion in a anti-Semitic manner.
