I have been working at Hays full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Hays is a very friendly and lovely place to work. My 12 years here so far has been very enjoyable.

    * Training program we have in place for new Consultants is fantastic

    * Excellent career opportunities across the UK and the globe!

    * An excellent team and company culture and are provided with the necessary tools to succeed. The role is varied, dynamic and exciting, and the management are both ambitious in their approach and supportive of each consultants' growth and development.

    Cons

None that I can think of.

    Advice to Management

Keep pushing the business forward, keep challenging me and supporting me with my career.

I have been working at Hays (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Excellent training programme
Fully immersed in operations of the business from day one
    Good corporate atmosphere
Able to develop skills in a real-life environment

    Cons

    Poor work/life balance
Low pay for the hours and effort put in
High employee turnover meaning the team changes too often

    Advice to Management

Should be more emphasis on working smart rather than working hard. Observational training would work and save a lot of time. Introduce financial incentives to make interns want to bill and put in the hours.

I have been working at Hays full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    People are fantastic.
    Training is excellent.
Culture rewards success, but ultimately management actively want everyone to succeed so the help and support is there if you need it.
Noone is in a senior position without merit

    Cons

The nature of recruitment means you work extremely hard, this isn't unique to Hays and I wouldn't want to recruit anywhere else.

    Advice to Management

There is a need to be less fearful in clearing out the dead wood. Recruitment is always going to have high turnover of staff, and this means huge hiring activity. Inevitably some deadwood gets hired and they just waste everybody's time and money.
