I have been working at Hays full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Working with some great clients
Great company for rewarding you on your wins.

    Cons

Sales Managers/Directors have limited people management experience. Big billers DO NOT mean great people managers.

Consultants work long hours and have unrealistic targets set.

You're definitely NOT allowed to take a full hour lunch. It a quick grab and go! The culture is you work through your lunch and late!

Consultants can be aggressive and hostile - i'd describe the Hays culture as 'boiler room' . If you don't cut the mustard or management isn't keen on you (there are clear management favorites) you're out the door.

There is a high turnover of new recruiters.

I have been working at Hays (Less than a year)

    Pros

I recently attended an internal training course and I was very pleased with the quality of the content.

Because of their previous hands-on experience, all trainers had great understanding about our current challenges and difficulties, therefore not only it was quality content, it was relevant too.

As a whole, the training was very engaging and realistic towards implementing what we learnt in our daily workflows.

    Cons

I would have liked to see a higher degree of tailored content towards the different modalities and specialisms at Hays as that would've only improved the quality of the course.

    Advice to Management

I would recommend to include activities and/or seminars that focus on specialism-specific content.
