Working with Hays has given me so many opportunities such as career progression with the industry leading training and development they provide. If you work hard you will be rewarded with great benefits & incentives and the people I work with is one of the many reasons I come to work every day.
Cons
Recruitment is a highly competitive environment but if you are ambitious and hard working you will succeed.
Thank you for your review and here's to another 5 years at Hays.

Great culture within Hays with an evident work hard play hard culture. There is a clear career progression structure and Hays is a very meritocratic company that awards based on performance
Cons
The challenges at Hays are that the KPI's and targets set can be quite demanding however they are there to push you and ultimately help you succeed.

Hays
Mar 10, 2016 - Senior Recruitment Consultant in Birmingham, EnglandRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I have been with Hays for 5 years + and really enjoy the team and environment that I work in. I have colleagues around me who are approachable and are always on hand to help. I have a good working relationship with my Managers and feel they support me and set a clear career progression plan. The role is very heavily targeted but the position is a sales role position so very expected.
Cons
I don't find that there is much flexibility around the working hours if you need to take time out of the business for appointments such as doctors, dentist etc due to our working hours being rather long.

Career Happy!
Mar 22, 2016 - Senior Business Manager in Birmingham, EnglandRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Hays offers excellent training for their staff and supports their employees through solid career progression. The companies position in the current market is made clear and communicated to all employees from senior management. Hays reward good results with fantastic bonus and incentive schemes.
Cons
Senior roles within your office may not be available. If you wish to move up the career ladder quicker, relocating to another office or divisional specialism must be considered.

Great place to work with a really good company culture, in an environment where people want to succeed.
Aug 7, 2014 - Senior Consultant in London, EnglandRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Your hard work is recognised and you are praised for when the results come in. There is excellent career progression with a structure that enables you to work your way up through the ranks. Always support around you for when you need it and lots of experience colleagues for you to get advice from. The social aspect is great and incentives really motivate you to smash your targets.
Cons
As it is a young, sociable work force, pub culture can sometimes cross over into the office making it unprofessional at times and a little bit uni like. Also the unflexibility with the working hours is very frustrating. I understand why they are so strict and rigid but for Consultants who work over and above their expected hours anyway, to come in a little later or leave a little earlier to make up for it would make a great deal of difference.

Hays provide a Great work environment - with a great support and training network, always looking to beat previous bests and to raise the bar. Career development and progression is there for anyone who puts the work in and is motivated enough to achieve the company objectives. Staff benefits and rewards will be hard to beat elsewhere.
Cons
Nothing that comes to mind

You are given responsibilities and opportunities from day one, allowing you to feel part of the business straight away. You are responsible for your own specialism and you manage your own desk. The opportunities for career progression are clearly laid out and it is a fast moving industry. You get out what you put in so there is opportunity to succeed at any level.
Cons
It is hard work and long hours. There is a need to be quite resilient.
