I have been working at Hays plc full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

A fast paced environment with great managerial support. Other consultants are always willing to give advice, make time for you and help you. Training is of the highest standards.

    Cons

Breaking commission/fees barrier can be a a slightly longer term goal depending on specialism and experience however this does promote a hard work ethic.

    Pros

Truly rewarded for your hard work. The more you put in the more you get out of it.

Great training both on and off the job.

Given full responsibility from the start

    Cons

    Low basic salary

constantly changing environment so people may find it hard to adapt.

    Very KPI focused

    Advice to Management

The management are great, the only thing I would say to improve is being more involved on the day to day basis. Sometimes the directors aren't present due to busy schedules so it can feel that they are less involved at points.

    Pros

Continual training and development support, the full spread of resources available to you, the management structure allows as much transparency and advancement as possible. As a driven person, Hays will recognise your talent and drive you forward. Very much an advocate of my success being their success

    Cons

Basic salary isn't market leading, but total structure makes it much better. If your organisation isn't up to scratch, the workload can catch you quickly!

    Pros

Constant support, training and development. If you want to work in an environment with genuine development, then this is for you. This is a company that gives back what you put in 10 fold.

    Cons

Hours are long and you can quickly find yourself staying late. It is easy to maintain a good work-life balance as long as you are strict with your own personal time management.

I have been working at Hays plc (Less than a year)

    Pros

The training program is unparalleled. My time line of progress in the role was clearly outlined from day one with a week to week outline of what I would be doing. Everyone in the team is always happy to ask questions and support you in successes.
Genuinely, if you want to progress to the top of Hays you can. The harder you work the more you get in return its that simple.

    Cons

The only con I would say is that if you are unsure about doing recruitment then it is not for you. You need to have commitment to doing the job. If you don't you will not get far.

    Advice to Management

Always keep an eye on support of junior staff (which is done already)

    Pros

Really structured recruitment procces, an assessment center that gives you a great overview of the recruiter's job.
High quality online training to get to know the organisation during your first days.
The working environment is very nice, a busy office with lots of things happening around. Everyone is happy to answer you questions and help you develop.
From the first days you can see that is a meritocratic environment, where hard work pays back!

    Cons

I would expect a bit more on the job training and mentoring.
    No gym in the office

    Advice to Management

    none
