    "Management is a problem!"

    I worked at Healogics

    Pros

    Good benefits and acceptable pay.

    Cons

Executive leadership is a joke. Nobody listens to the people who know what they’re doing in order to achieve process improvement. Employees are held to overwhelming standards and threatened they may lose their jobs on a weekly basis.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the ones who actually do the work and know what needs to be done.

I have been working at Healogics full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good benefits. Generally good team support.

    Cons

Continues to add work responsibilities while decreasing staff/employees. High pressure, unrealistic goals. Money driven. Culture and values statement doesn’t match the reality.

    Advice to Management

The center level staffing is inadequate. The ones making these decisions need to return to the center environment and work as a staff nurse for a week instead of going to Leadership. Now that would be a learning experience! The RDCO’s are unable to provide the education and support needed to the centers increasing employee turnover and disengagement. You are setting employees up for failure...both RDCO’s and center level staff.

I have been working at Healogics full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Large, stable company. Good benefits.

    Cons

Nurses are the bottom of the barrel for this company. Usually a healthcare company will at least give lipservice and pretend they care about nurses. Healogics doesn't even bother to do that. If you are in Operations, you can do well here. If you are clinical, run away. Staff nurses are worked to the bone. Clinical Nurse Managers are actually Case Managers that have to run a few reports. There is zero value given to nurses. They are trying to change the culture. However, like the true culture train wreck that they are, out of 150 "culture champions", there were less than 10 Nurse Managers. If it wasn't so very sad, it would be funny.

    Advice to Management

Happy people are productive people. Unhappy people result in >20% turnover. Penny wise and pound foolish. Think about it.

I worked at Healogics full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Good benefits; including healthcare and dental

    Cons

It’s surprising that after the false claims lawsuit, the culture hasn't changed. New employees are not welcomed, and female executives are quick to judge other colleagues. They openly portray deceitful behaviors towards them along with talking poorly about wound care physicians and program directors. One team that I worked with is cannibalizing each other based on three main players, all unprofessional women.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to how your leadership team treats others. If one of your programs isn't turning out revenue after almost a year, look at who's driving the train and who the two are closest to that person. If an employee leaves abruptly, something isn't working within the organization. Bullying, bad behavior and a closed-door policy should not be allowed by leadership. Clean it up and demand a work environment that promotes success for both current and new employees.

I worked at Healogics full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Provides a good salary and bonus potential, good benefits.

    Cons

Very task oriented and are moving toward more centralized decision making. Preach employee empowerment but really don't want anyone making decisions for themselves.

    Advice to Management

Let people do their jobs without hovering. Judge them by their results.

I worked at Healogics full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Great work/life balance. - Co-workers are like family and understand the struggle. - Good benefits including tuition reimbursement. - Ability to transfer to another position almost anywhere in the country, if a position is available in the state or city you are considering.

    Cons

    - Little to no support from hospital partner. - Difficult to hold physicians accountable for their responsibilities. - Fewer promotion opportunities than one would think. - You must be willing to move, most likely out of state, to be promoted. - It took a very long time to accomplish things or receive the resources our center needed. I worked at 2 different centers, but one consistency is that the organization is very numbers driven and will work its employees to the bone in an effort to meet plan, even if a center is short-staffed.

I worked at Healogics full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Good benefits, NO weekends or holidays at the center I was at

    Cons

Work sometime 50 hours a week, no set schedule didn't know what time would start work until day before, didn't know what time getting off from work , work life balance was hindered because couldn't make any plans with such a crazy schedule

    Advice to Management

Know that work life balance is important to most people and some sort of structurestryctured schedule would be good

    I worked at Healogics full-time

    Pros

Very good company with good benefits

    Cons

Company needs to be supportive of employees that's in Program Director positions, other contract positions. It needs an organized training class ...trainer to help with the process for at least 2 weeks! Otherwise, you are thrown to the wolves...learn the best way you can!

    Advice to Management

Organized training and be supportive of your employees
