I have been working at Health Capital Consultants full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I have worked at HCC full time for almost 3 years now. This company has become just as close as family to me and I can’t thank them enough for everything along the way. I can count on them for anything work related and personal. The core team here at HCC is comprised of hard working, dedicated individuals that will do whatever it takes to get the task at hand completed with upmost professionalism and integrity. We have...

    Cons

As stated above I have worked here for almost 3 years, and have had the pleasure to work with the late HCC Founder and CEO, Bob Cimasi for half of that time (The CEO that 90% of the reviews on here are about). Although Bob was one of the hardest nosed people I have ever met, the man was a wealth of knowledge and information when you really listened to him. He did yell and scream at a lot of employees (including me at...

I worked at Health Capital Consultants part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Senior management is kind and helpful! The entire staff were accommodating and flexible to my school schedule. I was exposed to practical healthcare experience (i.e. valuation, current healthcare news) which I would not have been able to get elsewhere. Without this position and the support of the team, I would not have been able to progress along in my career development. HCC sets a positive and nurturing environment.

    Cons

During my year of employment, I did NOT experience any downsides. This speaks volumes on the culture and staff values.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the hard work because it truly is paying off!

I have been working at Health Capital Consultants

    Pros

This job taught me to look at glassdoor before ever taking a job. Getting let go from this job was the best thing to ever happen to me, even though it didn't seem like it at the time.

    Cons

High turnover rate even from "senior management". No one actually works here if they can help it.

    Advice to Management

Stop writing your own reviews....its pitiful.

I worked at Health Capital Consultants full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I promise you there is no upside to working here. I took the job because I read the reviews on here and thought it wouldn't be that bad. What I did not know is that any 5 star rating is done by the owner himself, that's why there are so many 1 and 5 star ratings. All the one star are actual employees.

    Cons

The whole company. You will never feel respected here. Management will scream in your face and do whatever awful thing they can think of to you!

    Advice to Management

Strop trying to deceive people by posting fake reviews on here. It is an awful company and let people know that coming in!

I worked at Health Capital Consultants full-time for more than a year

    Pros

You'll never be bored. Plenty of projects to work on and they're all different. Great learning experience in the healthcare industry and the wealth of knowledge at the company is insane. Great health insurance.

    Cons

Being a small company, they have no formal training program. It's al learn as you go. This causes a learning curve and when something is done wrong, people get upset. Definitely poor communication between management and analysts. The President and Vice Presidents are nice and easy to approach. The CEO will yell at someone daily at least once. He as well as one of the Sr. Financial Analysts will do a great job at making...

Implement some type of training program even if it's a week long. It will help tremendously down the road.

    Pros

Genuinely makes you appreciate every other job you'll ever have 10x more because it is so unbelievably abusive and degrading. Also this job probably put me in a position where I was available to accept my current job, which I absolutely love, because I normally would respect a company enough to stay on longer.

    Cons

The level of denial that exists among "management" for how poorly run this company is is actually the most astounding thing I have ever personally witnessed. It should be cataloged and documented for research purposes when the American Psychiatric Association updates the DSM. Speaking of, the CEO is the literal definition of a narcissist. Everything is everyone else's fault except for his. Nothing is ever an innocent...

I worked at Health Capital Consultants part-time for more than a year

    Pros

I worked here for about a year and two months while I was a graduate student. I became known as Mr. GQ over this time and learned a lot about valuation, consulting, and just being a professional in general. If you are looking for a place where you gain some skills that will pay dividends for rest of your career, this is the place to be. Pros

You will learn a lot about healthcare and the valuation profession as a whole. Small staff means it is much easier to climb the ladder. Plenty of PTO given. Occasional paid lunch.

    Cons

Slim staff leads to long hours. The work is very rigid.

I worked at Health Capital Consultants part-time for more than a year

    Pros

The interview process was easy. I applied for a technical position where I was expecting technical questions in my interview. Turns out the department I was applying for consisted of one or other employee who also recently started. So if you want exposure doing everything, you'll get experience because a lot of the times you have a "department" of 2 or 3 people in total. Also, the CEO is so crazy that it makes for...

    Cons

When thinking about cons, a huge list comes to mind. But rather than just list off a bunch of cons while working there, I think that the list can be summed up to one big con. That con is the ceo of hcc. By now, you've probably read all of the horrible things that everyone else has said. And if you're anything like me, you probably think "well I can stick it out", or "I had a bad boss one time and I could live with...
