    Pros

Worked on my own. Clients at corporate facility

    Cons

Part time work. No opportunity for growth. I left the job for another situation and attempted to be rehired for the same position several times and they did not hire me. They would not give me any feedback as to why.

I have been working at Health Fitness as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you are a Wellness Screener, looking to add another company to add to your resume, this company can be fun to work for.

    Cons

HealthFitness will cancel events up until the day before it is scheduled to take place. If you work for more than one screening company and have been sent requests to work by more than one employer on the same day, I highly recommend that you do not choose to schedule HealthFitness first. Or if you have anything going on in your life...don't cancel your plans. Most likely your event won't happen anyways.

    Advice to Management

It is pathetic to watch Team Leads sit at their computers and unwilling to assist ANYONE throughout the entire screening process. Not really leading anything....just observing with unhappy looks on their faces and making the company look bad.

    Pros

The people whom i worked with on a day to day basis.

    Cons

The management has run this company into the ground. They do not care about the people who work for them or their clients.

    Advice to Management

Get your act together. Get rid of the people not producing and who are making poor decisions. Maybe going back to being a middle size company is not a bad idea. We thrived when we were not trying to be a top 1000 company

I worked at Health Fitness part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Learn canned programs that have been around for decades.

    Cons

Pay is very low and it's impossible to be creative. Many canned programs are shoved at us to do and I wonder whether it is even needed for someone to be a fitness professional in some instances. When I wanted to step outside of the box, I was discouraged, even when it came to offering healthy food at our meetings, instead of pizza.

    Advice to Management

Start charging the companies more or less for the company so employees can make a decent living. Help raise the salaries of women, since this profession is female dominated and the salaries are low because of this.
