I worked at Health Net full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great people to work with.

    Cons

C-Suite not in-touch with associates; Benefits are decided on by preferences of the Sr. Leaders (C-Suite); Top heavy management & salaries, but no "return" because of mis-management and conflicting agendas.

    Advice to Management

To Centene: Clear the Top Level Management at Health Net; Bring innovation to succeed; Focus on your assets - Your associates!

I have been working at Health Net full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits/401K. Met a few good people.

    Cons

Favoritism is very prominent here. Management treats reps unfairly. Reps' opinions hardly matter. Micromanaged too. A lot of people are unfriendly. Seems like it's "every man for himself/herself" here with everyone, doesn't matter what their job title is.

    Advice to Management

Work should be spread out more evenly on teams. Treat employees like people not robots.

I worked at Health Net full-time

    Pros

decent pay and good hours to work

    Cons

They did not care about giving good customer service to members and we were urged to rush members off of the phone so we could take as many calls as possible

    Advice to Management

Think about how you want to be treated when you treat others badly and unfairly. They should take classes on how to manage correctly.

I have been working at Health Net full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good managers and training

    Cons

working for this company I have observed that the recognition for long time workings is not valued or appreciated, like I i said good training so learn as much as you can and take that knowledge to better yourself and that new company. Pay is not great. It is the LOWEST PAID Healthcare PLAN in Rancho Cordova/Sacramento. Get the knowledge and apply at a better company . No real intensives to stay with the company .. its a shame in working for 10years and your just making 40,000.00 per year... thats is unheard of .

    Advice to Management

Recognized good employees and give them the necessary honor that is due them or you will loose them. l

I have been working at Health Net full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The San Rafael office has a very nice trail, water view, as well as, a view of the San Rafael bridge.

    Cons

The company is very slow in technology adoption - most tools are updated by up to 10 years.

    Advice to Management

Invest in the company's tech infrastructure.

I worked at Health Net full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Yearly reviews that allowed for an increase in your salary.

    Cons

Not recognized for the work done. Manager didn't show up for meetings scheduled or was always late. No transparency.

    Advice to Management

If management expects its employees to work overtime and on weekends, they should do the same. Management should be leaders. Lead by example. Don't expect from employees what you don't do so yourself and that includes showing up (and on time) to meetings managers schedule.

I worked at Health Net full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Outbound calls only so you are on your own time.

    Cons

Pay, Disorganized, Favoritism, Its a numbers game, they have no compassion for the veterans. The job can be difficult because they have not been tending to the providers that have already been taking their patients that needs assistance with claims. So most providers are not accepting the program anymore.

    Advice to Management

There are people who are hired at your company who want to make difference. You guys have solely made this about numbers. Have more compassion for what you do and start to reach out to the providers because I honestly believed that if you took care of the providers the company would flourish more.
