I worked at Health Net full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Helpful teammates, good benefits, big parking lots, lots of team party, fun atmosphere, the pay is decent, lots of overtime as well.

    Cons

If you go on leave, it's very complicated to get back to work, they never teach you the process to get back in, which requires approval from the leave management department that will take forever to get it approved, I got the run around every time. Also no security guards outside after dark so it's kinda scary walking to your car alone especially if you park far away.

I have been working at Health Net full-time

    Pros

+ Great place for beginners to learn the industry.
    + Great working environment
+ Does offer school reimbursement up to $3000/ year
    + Average health insurance package
    + Great work-life balance

    Cons

    - Benefits offered are below industry standard. (Less PTO, No GYM reimbursement)
    - Since HN uses a lot of in-house applications, it is not an ideal place to gain experience in industry standard tools and practices.
    - Advancement within the organization is possible, but at times it can get complicated because your current manager can reject the promotion by stating you play an integral part of a current project.

I worked at Health Net full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

A great team atmosphere dedicated to assisting patients achieve the best healthcare possible. Management team is engaged with the staff both medical and administrative. The medical director is very encouraging to all staff.

    Cons

Working here is only available in select parts of the United States. One location needs more space. More contracts with the company needs to be worked on. Training sessions for the company staff needs to be the same and more auditing needs to be done so that they can continue to achieve success.

    Advice to Management

My advise to management is the same that I have stated above. I would also like to recommend that the have the option of the administrative staff work from home. This would help with the space issue. This will make sure that there is enough space for a training room at each location.
