I have been working at HealthEast part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great culture and therapy is facilitated in an ethical manner. While there is an ideal level of productivity, it is not their only concern. I enjoy the team I work with and felt that I was provided adequate training and an opportunity to become comfortable in the routine before being on my own.

    Cons

I have no concerns at this time.

I have been working at HealthEast full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Love most of my co workers

    Cons

Pay is below most healthcare systems. Told we will get Fairview pay soon. Not holding my breath. Favoritism in the department causes problems with other staff members. Don’t feel they care about the employees because they feel there is a surplus of workers out there. Hiring people who are lazy and then they do not get rid of them.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees based on Fairview wages right away do not make them wait. Listen to concerns. Better vet new hires

I worked at HealthEast full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great peers and team. Benefits and Salary ok overall. Other employers more competitive. HealthEast was behind the times in many ways and very much lacked infrastructure. The Fairview rescue will be a great improvement in many ways. That became apparent quickly. James Hereford is impressive and a great leader. Hopefully that will bring some integrity to the former HealthEast.

    Cons

One up leader very poor. HR sweeps things under the rug and doesn't address issues. Lip service from upper management and not sincerity. Once again, hopefully Fairview will help that greatly.

    Advice to Management

Clean house as appropriate. Stop sweeping things under the carpet and address concerns that many bring to light. Success is focused on and the way people are treated is not. Very unfortunate. When leaders stop listening to their most passionate employees, soon the leaders will have no one around them. Life is much better for me being out of the organization. I loved my job and team, but couldn't take leadership any longer. Fairview leadership has been impressive and will definitely bring some great things to the table.

I worked at HealthEast full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Large health system with lots of room for job advancement. Health insurance benefits are affordable.

    Cons

Poorly managed. Their servant leadership model results in managers and leads often having their hands tied and bending to the wills of their employees. Leadership is poorly supported when making needed decisions or changes. One of the worst cultures I have ever worked in. Upper management is quick to criticize but not provide direction for improvement or an action plan. They are too embedded in a grey area, and feelings, and unable to make concrete choices and guidance. Pay is low for managers and leads.
