    Company in growth mode

Sep 29, 2021 - Physical Therapist in Mission Viejo, CA

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Benefits-eligible at a minimum of 30 hours/week, co-workers are dedicated clinicians, all therapy sessions provided at higher-end assisted living facilities.

    Cons

Company is based on opposite side of the country, and in the midst of its growth mode, is still figuring out how to navigate the California landscape.

    Keep looking if you can!

    Pros

    None that come to mind.

    Cons

Make sure you deplete all of your PTO time prior to the required 30 day notice as required by company policy. My area was 19 towns - lots of windshield time, and they short you on mileage expense as compared to the Federally approved reimbursement rate. Your pay cycle will be actually 2-3 weeks behind schedule. Any stated bonus will have to be “applied” for and will take another month before you see it. Expect a pay cut and any holidays have to come out of PTO.

Good pay-terrible company to work for

    Pros

    Good, competitive compensation. Great flexibility.

    Cons

No support from management, driving ~500 miles/week, no extra compensation for patients >36 miles from my base point, terrible benefits package, below average mileage compensation. I was documenting in multiple EMR’s and I was not provided a hotspot for internet, so I relied on my personal data plan with no compensation. There is no opportunity for growth. My personal phone was ringing off the hook from agencies contacting me about patients (saturdays, sundays, while I was on PTO) they do not respect your personal time.

    The bottom line

    Aug 9, 2021 - Physical Therapist Assistant

    Business Outlook

    Pros

A big plus is that there’s free continuing education. Depending on your supervisor, productivity standards may be manageable.

    Cons

Just like most therapy companies, the bottom line takes precedence above all else. Employees were expected to work through Covid, including treating positive cases. In addition, therapists were given a wage cut across the board to save the company money.
