I worked at HealthPort full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly environment and everyone is really nice and helpful. Lots and lots of overtime possibilities, for which you are compensated fairly. Monthly bonuses where applicable.

    Cons

Weekly overtime is mandatory which can be a hassle at times, but I can't say that was ever a bad thing. I enjoyed it. Very fast paced environment with little rest time.

    Advice to Management

None. Everything went fine. Management is friendly and extremely helpful at all times.

I worked at HealthPort (More than a year)

    Pros

It was a comfortable atmosphere to work in. The computer system that I was using was real simple and easy to use.

    Cons

I felt that the company was not well organized, and perhaps that was because of changing of management.

    Advice to Management

I don't really have any advice to add. I would like say that good organization and a friendly atmosphere does really help.

I have been working at HealthPort full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I love the interaction with numerous different clients. Stability is very important so the vitality of a company is also key.

    Cons

I have nothing negative to say against this company. Overall experience was excellent

    Advice to Management

Communication is very important when working within a company

    Pros

For the most part, the people I worked with there were nice. And, if you can work with and test their software and make it, you can pretty much make it anywhere.

    Cons

This is a complete sweat shop. Don't work at this company unless you don't have a life and want to live to work only. There is a lot of fighting between the development and QA teams - a real us vs. them mentality.

    Advice to Management

Treat people the way you want to be treated and stop with the unrealistic expectations. It is obvious those in power don't know what they are doing or they wouldn't expect what they do.

I worked at HealthPort full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They gave me an opportunity when other companies would not.

    Cons

Unfortunately when my mother pass away and I was only with the company for 5 months and I greatly needed time to heal they did not give me this opportunity, but at the sametime they where very supportive.

    Advice to Management

Be more understanding when circumstances happen with one of your employees and they need more time off to address family emergency even if they haven't meant the timeline to file for the FMLA.

I worked at HealthPort (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Flexible schedule and good team.

    Cons

    Poor work flow and communication

    Advice to Management

Listen to your team and stop trying to have one person do the work of four. Strong disconnect between corporate and the field that needs to be fixed.

    Pros

I am a student and they were always able to work around my schedule. As a scanner (ROI specialist I) it is very laid back and you are very independent. If your productivity is high your boss will know your are reliable and not need to baby you. I really enjoyed working there while i was there because my managers could trust me to do the job well. There is opportunity to grow.

    Cons

Management is always super busy so it takes a while to get help from them sometimes. Horrible communication between employees, managers, and vendors sometimes. If a vendor ends their contract they let you go if they don't have another location for you. Sometimes high stress when they need you to cover for the front.

I worked at HealthPort (Less than a year)

    Pros

I seriously cannot thing of a single thing.

    Cons

Every aspect of your workday is managed down to how you sit in your chair. You are constantly watched, nitpicked, and criticized. I was actually told I could not sit with my legs crossed and witnessed another employee being told she could not stand at her desk while working (to ease back pain).

    Advice to Management

Start from scratch. Treat your employees with respect. Don't assume they are 2 year olds.
