Pros

I was talking to a new employee recently and reflecting about the changes I've seen in the company since joining (a bit over a year ago). It is incredible the amount of progress we made in just one year. Not only in terms of product but most importantly as people. It is by far the best startup environment I've been into (and I have been in a few) and it is mostly thanks to the CEO and management. We are more aligned every day. We are learning to work together more effectively and with less stress and less burnout. It is very difficult not being aligned with our mission, but many other companies also have good missions. What is unique about HealthRhythms is: * transparency, you'll get vision into every decision made * people and the level of compromise each has to each other and the company

Cons

It is a startup, with the usual problems * salary is not what you could make in other big companies but you do get stock options. * there is still confusion and noise in priorities, but we are getting better at identifying these issues

Pros

Mission driven company trying to improve mental health care with better tools and data.

Cons

The CEO is not effective and is not a good leader. He always speaks about being transparent, but he does not actually do it. It is very disappointing, and he has tricked many people. It is not safe to even reveal identity here because of what he has done to others. Bad morale for all.

Pros

The ceo is committed to building as he says a world class team with a culture in which we must see ourselves as empowered co-principals. The talent level is extremely high. But there is little sense of big egos. Just the opposite, because we all recognize this is rare and all believe in the mission, we're extremely collaborative. People take the mission seriously and work hard, very hard for the most part, but they don't take themselves too seriously.

Cons

We want to be together more often since we're largely virtual. We had a retreat for the company 7 months ago and will do another in 4 months. I think we need more but the company is being very careful with spending. I get that but we can find ways to do lower cost retreats more often. That said there are mini retreats which we'll fly into in NY where a group works at WeWork. I think there are also too many meetings - I know we're working on that
