    Pros

Some of the nurses and techs do care about the patients but they are beaten down by a poor system and bad circumstances.

    Cons

Leaving units short staffed a lot of the time. Asking staff to sign up for over time because there is almost never enough coverage on the units. Flexing nurses when the staffing is actually good to save a dollar at the expense of patient and staff satisfaction. Accepting admissions who are not appropriate for acute rehab.

    Advice to Management

Hire more nurses and techs. Stop flexing nurses and overloading your unit staff. Stop accepting inappropriate patients just to fill a bed. Offer incentives. Treat the floor staff better.

    Pros

    Decent price of employee lunch.

    Cons

Absolutely no privacy of patients or their medical records. All the medical records office doors are always open. Patient rooms are always open. Incompetent employees are promoted to become dept. directors who don't even have bachelor degrees in their field. Won't recommended this place for treatment or employment.

I worked at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Toms River full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are some good nurses that really care about their patients and not just a paycheck

    Cons

Place is dirty. All rooms don't have hand sanitizer or soap in the rooms. Upper management don't tell the truth.

    Advice to Management

Listen to what is being voiced from the nurses and tech
