    I worked at HealthTrio full-time

    Pros

Generally good people work for the company, but many operate in fear - wait to be told what to do instead of taking initiative and speaking up for what they believe in. Casual and laid back environment (which can be a blessing and a curse). Monthly Hack Days were the best. Good location in the city.

    Cons

There are too many egos and not enough heroes, hence mediocrity is the default of the environment. Very few are about COLLABORATION - they talk the talk but never walk the walk. Office politics are too heavy for it to be a small company. People should focus on building instead of backstabbing. Leadership has potential but seems people have lost ambition, drive, individuality, and support. Seems to be a lot of confusion on the direction of the company; executives/leaders are never all in sync and this shows in day-to-day operations.

    Advice to Management

Do better! The biggest component of management is PEOPLE. Know your people and treat them well. Everyone is an INDIVIDUAL human being, NOT A NUMBER or object to cater to your ego.

I worked at HealthTrio as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

    1. I worked there as an intern. The marketing team I worked for was quite motivated. They know what they are dealing with and are trying to move quick to make an impact.
    2. No dress code and there is freedom to work freely
    3. I believe workers are given freedom to finish tasks in their own way as long as they get it done.

    Cons

Pay is low and does not represent the effort put in by employees.

    Advice to Management

    Increase the pay

I have been working at HealthTrio (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Flexible hours
    Can work from home
Learn lots of new and old technologies
People are easy to talk to
Lots of interesting work to be done
    Motivated management

    Cons

Still need a lot of improvement on the employee/employer relationship
Hard to get direction on advancement
Compensation is low with little to no salary increases
Knee jerk reactions to issues that arise
    Revolving door of engineers

    Advice to Management

The application is so large and vast that there needs to be more effort put on employee retention. Its ok to help people advance their careers, but not advance them right out of the door. This causes the company to lose the "caring" about the product and makes it more focused on "what can I get out of this before I move on".

    Pros

Nice people to work with. Flexible people to work with. Enjoyed opportunities to work closely with CFO and Controller. Hardworking people.

    Cons

Offices were spread out between Arizona, Las Vegas, and Colorado. There was not much room for growth within the finance department. Company was family run.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing a great job leading the company. Nice work. Nice work. Nice work. Nice work. Nice work. Nice work.

I worked at HealthTrio full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great place to learn and grow your skills to a certain point. It's a legitimate software company that attempts to be cutting edge and adopt industry best-practices. The work-life balance in engineering is relatively good. Mostly laid-back, good people work there.

    Cons

Low pay. Poor benefits. Performance appraisal isn't taken seriously. Very little articulation of career growth/path. Not a whole lot of clear vision for the future of the company.

    Advice to Management

Be more up-front. Stop trying to blame people who are never around for the problems that exist. Dream up and communicate a vision of the future. Make people feel valued.
