I worked at Healthcare Services Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great management and culture of continuous quality improvement. I had multiple raises within first year, for taking on more responsibilities. Everyone in the district were top-notch individuals.

    Cons

On management level, it is hard work. You have to be on top of your game when it comes to your people and communication skills, to coordinate, line employees, clients, and company management, to achieve set goals.

I have been working at Healthcare Services Group full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Taste of all facets of management.

    Cons

Below industry average salary, unrealistic demands with very tight budgets, you will be a working manager cleaning/trash removal/laundry.

    Advice to Management

More competitive salary for Account Managers, negotiate better contracts that will allow for sufficient staffing

I worked at Healthcare Services Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They were understanding whenever I had a conflict. I.e. Family or health problem.

    Cons

To train as a housekeeping manager you have to do each routine to learn properly their techniques which is obviously the right approach. However they had no openings around me and kept me stuck as an assistant at $10 for months and months...had to do overnight projects like stripping and waxing floors and it was brutal.

I have been working at Healthcare Services Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Ummmm. Wow that was hard trying to think of a positive. I would say, depending on who your district manager is, your job is pretty much not demanding IF you're an experienced manager, other wise good luck to you. Since no training will be given although they state training will be provided. Not much money in rehab centers so dont expect to make more than 19an hr regardless of how good you are at this profession. No raises, only way to make more income is through promotion.

    Cons

No training, bad wages for all frontline and management. Hiring competent english reading and writing staff is nearly impossible since the starting wage is 9.50 max and that is for floorcare techs only. What a joke

    Advice to Management

Try attempts to retain staff . Turnover is very problematic.

I worked at Healthcare Services Group (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Time and a half on holidays. 8:00-4:30 pm m-f.

    Cons

I managed the kitchen operations of a nursing home. I couldn't get a decent budget to feed the residents properly. Ex. 5.50 per day per resident. They wanted to pay staff a low wage. Cooks 8.00 per hr,

    Advice to Management

Loosen up the budget. Medicare is paying you plenty to feed the residents.

    Pros

Very nice people, you do get some good hours depending on the day you have, staff are very nice

    Cons

Very underpaid, we are still understaffed, the job itself is not worth it at all.

    Advice to Management

Raises would be an excellent start; when you have staff who are underpaid, they may not stay long.
