    Pros

Good benefits and the people are nice

    Cons

Company has no idea what it is doing. The systems are terrible and management shuffles people around all day. great if you're looking for a daily migraine.

I worked at Healthesystems full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

    Competitive pay and flexible hours

    Cons

Culture of not holding people accountable, Don’t act to fix performance issues with employees, There is no training, Most of management is not capable of having honest and direct conversations, People are punished and retaliated against for giving feedback or offering suggestions to improve anything, HR does nothing when an employee needs help and some of them often gossip and perpetuate a hostile work environment, No...

    Advice to Management

I think at this point management is the issue, they lack the ability to hold people accountable and keep moving this company forward. They contradict one another, don’t communicate appropriately, can't work together, come across untrustworthy, and seem unwilling to change. This company loves to over complicate things which is funny because our motto is to “simplify complexities.” Lastly, I’d tell them to get their crap...

I have been working at Healthesystems full-time

    Pros

Casual dress. Work from home flexibility. Decent pay. Fair time off. Nice people. Good coffee machines. Community fund raising.

    Cons

Sales group unable to sign up big accounts. Numerous excuses. 401k management fees on funds are extremely high. Assignments of sit/stand desks are puzzling. Most meetings start late and end late. Sometimes meetings end late at the end of the day, just in time for a hellish ride home. In between starting late and ending late is mostly pointless discussions between one or two people, not ten. Employee development...

    Advice to Management

get better sales team. Find a company to manage 401k that charges lower fees. The little no-name company is eating away at our funds. Since standing is healthy allow every employee a desk that moves up and down. Stop with all the useless meetings especially past 5:00 unless there is a real emergency. This should be cause for immediate termination. Listen to your employees about ideas about IT technology and practices....

I worked at Healthesystems full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Used to have a weekly breakfast on fridays, now they downed it to once a month, a nice perk none the less. Complex business logic, if you can figure out how their systems work in terms of business you can figure out how any company works. Lots of fun challenges and some good kind people.

    Cons

The organization faces several hardships. The infrastructure is limiting to the potential for producing software. There are developers who have worked at this company for a long time and are resistant to change and almost fearful of people with news ideas and that persons willingness to push forward with them. My advice to anyone considering employment here is to agree with the elders and tred lightly.

    Advice to Management

Dare to be bold. Ignore the "Agile" buzzword process. Think of yourselves like captains of a spaceship heading toward a pair of closing doors..full steam ahead. Shred away any kind of restraint or anything else weighing you down.

I have been working at Healthesystems full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

    1) The flexibility in working from home & PTO requests are rarely declined. 2) Flexible working schedule, and managers who are realistic with work-life balance. 3) Learning opportunities available in terms of being able to shadow other departments and their openness to help you learn anther team's role(s) or function. Cons

    1) I do wish Healthe supported those trying to attain higher education a bit more, for instance, clearly defined tuition reimbursement program or financial support for attaining advanced certifications. Many newer employees have the feeling that Healthe is more of a "transition company", where it's normal to stay for a while and then leave for something better. More support like this would most likely give employees opportunities...

    Advice to Management

Over the last year, I do feel as if leadership has listened to and executed initiatives to solve some of the basic needs desired at Healthesystems (while also acknowledging that many of these items were way overdue in being implemented). We are DEFINITELY better than we were last year in terms of operational resources, better documentation and improved communication, but there is still a very long way to go to transition...

I worked at Healthesystems full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Pleasant work environment, convenient location, proximity to airport, great culture (everyone has a genuine concern for each other and are pleasant to work with)

    Cons

The "COO experiment" was a disaster; completely upset the culture, fired or drove away many great talents, but ultimately was sent on his way and the company is back in culture-recovery mode.

    Advice to Management

Beware the lesson of the goose that laid the golden egg; company growth is a respectable objective, but pursuing it at the cost of your culture will ultimately kill the goose.

    Pros

Friendly work environment. Flexible. Work life balance is incredible. Decent Pay

    Cons

Management is a hard-nut to crack as there is a lot of favoritism. People who are there for a long-time, even with all their flaws and lack of experience in new areas are being treated like kings while people with real experience and who are sincerely contributing in all areas are being treated poorly. Lack of transparency for even senior people who are new joiners while everything is being handed in a plate for old-timers....

    Advice to Management

Every individual is unique and have their own abilities. You guys are the ones who do the interviews and bring us in promising a great career, but we help old-timers build theirs. Give a closer look on who is contributing and do not blindly trust old-timers. All of us are part of the company's growth. While some are being treated like a king, some are treated like they don't even exist. When treated equally and with respect,...
