I have been working at Healthy Spot full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Coming in during the COVID pandemic was more intimidating than what you'd usually expect from joining a company where everyone is clearly close and passionate because I was at the disadvantage where I haven't met anyone in my department in-person yet. The team has gone out of their way to eliminate that obstacle feeling. Communication is very open. Any and every question or suggestion is welcome. They're making sure in addition to what I'm learning, I'm not being deprived of what my entire experience would've been. I stayed at my last position for so long, despite the poor experience due to how many opportunities I felt I was getting and didn't think a more established business like Healthy Spot would allow me to grow so expansively, but I'm thrilled to be proved wrong every day. I'm getting to meet with so many different departments and consultants instead of just being expected to stick to social media.

    Cons

Personally, I haven't found any so far. I'd imagine if you were the type of person to keep to yourself and not enjoy several points of contact/meetings, then you'd be dismayed.

I worked at Healthy Spot full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Working for a great mission and pets.

    Cons

I had the worst management experience imaginable to the point I needed a therapist. My manager was threatened by quality work done under her and refused any help in advancing your career outside of a cost of living raise and suggesting finding free online classes to take in your free time. With a dozen complaints against her throughout the office, still no action was taken with her for some odd reason. Aside from this life changing mental experience, the lack of resources and pay are laughable. You're expected to do the job of 5 people while being paid entry level salaries.

I have been working at Healthy Spot full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

This company really has the most passionate and hardworking group of people I've ever worked with. Their continued investment in their people has helped me learn and grow in ways I never would've been able to on my own.

    Cons

We're are still a young and growing company, so we make mistakes from time to time and face challenges a more established business might not.

I have been working at Healthy Spot full-time for less than a year

    Pros

From day one, I felt proud to be an employee of Healthy Spot. My first day included a handwritten note from corporate and a one-on-one lunch with my regional manager. Within my first week, I was invited to go to corporate HQ and have an orientation meeting with other newbies. This is a business that cares about its employees and it’s customers as it is the most honest and integrity-based business around. Proud to be part of the pack!

    Cons

    Can’t think of anything negative!

I have been working at Healthy Spot full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Diverse employee group, growing organization/expanding footprint in California (lots of opportunities to promote and transfer to new areas), commitment to the mission, focus on education and training , energized teams

    Cons

When I first started, I was disappointed that there were no stores in the Bay Area, but in 2019 we expanded and now have a presence in Northern California!

    I worked at Healthy Spot

    Pros

I was happy to help parents make not only their lives but their pets life healthier and happier.

    Cons

I wanted to write a review based on my negative work experience at THIS location. I was well educated by certain team members not all, it feels great to help people make their pets lives healthier and more fulfilled. If you ever consider working here please know that it will not be what they make it seem. It is not based on happiness of the pets or the parents but its based on THE SALE. You dont get paid commission but they treat you as if you are, they put you under heavy pressure about the sales you make as well to the point you find yourself checking obsessively to see if your making at least the average before someone on management might have a “meeting” with you. My own personal experience was with the management. They make choices out of personal feelings not under a manager role. They also pick and choose who gets a pass on “not following rules” and who does. Im disappointed in the business itself but this location made it worse. I experienced being talked to as if i was stupid by customers and management did nothing. I was called names that were uncomfortable, violated by a customer WHO WAS STILL INVITED BACK TO THE STORE, and after a while i felt no use in talking to management about it because they do not manage correctly they choose favorites they are conniving and don’t have minds of their own. I hope that this review gives you a heads up on working here. When they say integrity comes first. Please know it does not. This review is personal and i hope it brings clarity not only to those who read it but those who made the choice to make me feel this way. The major part of it all is that i am not the only one within the company who feels this way about this location and many others. I hope no one experiences what i have.

I worked at Healthy Spot full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Not many Pros other then you get to work with dogs.

    Cons

1, All positions at this place are SALES jobs so you will have numbers to meet each week. LAME 2, The "Training" you get is nothing more than HS training you to be a USED CAR SALESMEN and force sales on people. 3, Meetings were held after hours (10 pm in some cases) and you would have to come in on your day off. 4, Management is unprofessional and lake the background/ intelligence needed to properly run a retail location. 5, And most importantly you are selling WAY overpriced dog food.
