I have been working at HealthyPets full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I have been working at Healthy Pets for just under a year. The location is great being right off Mission and right next to Union City Bart. They have a kitchen, game room, cafeteria, and multiple designated break areas. You're allow to bring your pets to work once a month! Employees get a nice discount as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful across all departments.

This is a great first office job for people looking to get away from Retail!

    Cons

Few number of bathrooms, some difficult customers

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up!

    Pros

I've worked for Customer Service for over 5 years here. It is a great place to work and I look forward to coming in. The customers are very friendly and I can relate to them as I have pets myself. The issues that our customers have can be easily resolved without having to jump through too many hoops.

    Cons

There are frustration at times with customers that want free shipping on larger items and pet food.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work and feel free to create more contests for Customer Service!

    I worked at HealthyPets full-time

    Pros

This is a great place for someone just starting out as the interview process is relatively easy and straightforward, it's fun and engaging to work in the pet world, and you do learn a lot.

    Cons

There are A LOT of cons to this place:

    - Very high turnover rate (people are gone in less than a year)
    - Terrible pay
    - The CEO is incredibly disrespectful and demanding and stuck in the 90's. Many talented people want to do new things to make this company succeed but he won't let them.
    - Company culture is absolutely abysmal. It's obvious the company does not value their employees which in turn makes the employees unhappy and lazy
    - The worst PTO I have ever seen in my life. 3 days? That's basically slavery.
    - Only two restrooms in an office of over 100
    - The "break room" is also the meeting room so most of the time it is unavailable for use. Pointless to have an employee game and break room if we aren't even able to use it 85% of the time.
    - Micromanagement at its finest. If you like someone looking over your shoulder constantly this is the place for you.
    - The warehouse staff openly stare at women coming into the office for the day and it's incredibly uncomfortable
    - It feels like the departments all hate each other. Customer service constantly blames marketing for problems, there are rumors flying around about everyone within the company and it feels like working at a middle school.
    - The main goal of customer service is to upsell callers. We should not be trying to push more product onto people who are already upset about their orders...which brings me to the next issue...
    - The warehouse is terrible. Dozens of orders arrive damaged on a weekly basis or just don't get shipped out at all. It seems like the CEO and management aren't doing much about it.

All in all, you want to get in and keep your head down, absorb information and experience, then get out of this place as fast as possible.

    Advice to Management

    - Stop treating your employees like garbage
    - Increase PTO
    - Increase pay
    - Do more for the company culture - team building events, food trucks, general perks that make people actually like where they work.
    - Fix warehouse
    - Customer service needs more training

Honestly, I could go on for days. There is A LOT about this company that needs to be fixed.
